The follow note is stored against Alexander Thomas Tulloh record:

He built Tannachie ~1865. He and his wife, who must have been Mary Louisa West, had no children but adopted her niece, Ada Goldsmith West, rescuing her from an Orphanage in Washington U.S. where she had been placed in 1853 after the deaths of her destitute parents, the Rev James Fletcher West, B A Brasenose Oxford, & Frances Goldsmith: they were said to have succumbed to drink & relied on charity. This a really interesting story. Ada Goldsmith Tulloh/West inherited Tannachie, married John Hatchett, and died 1921 Malvern- not seemingly buried in St James, or,maybe, just no stone? Her son Reginald Tulloh-Hatchett 1888-1973 has got a plaque in the graveyard there- next door to his grandparents?? Very grateful to Gravestone Photographiv Resource
