Percy Chadwick Bates is my third cousin 3X removed. He was born on 11 Nov 1859 and died on 17 Oct 1921. Jessie Bates (nee Chadwick) is his wife.She was born 6 June 1860 and died 25 May 1936 aged 75. Perhaps a worn inscription caused the year of death to be misread as 1956.
