I believe that the death year as shown on the transcription for this monument is incorrect. The civil records have the death date (with the correct birth date of 27 Jun 1920) as 2006. The announcement of his death in the Grimsby and Scunthorpe Telegraph has the death date as 18 Dec 2006. Review of this image would therefore present final verification of the correctness or otherwise of your transcription.That said, your web site is an excellent resource, and this is the first time I have come across a problem.
