Her father was Gregory Crowther a blacksmith. Elizabeth King married Gregory Crowther 18 July 1844 in West Rasen, Lincoln UK. Susannah Crowther (King) had two children in England to Thomas Kennington, before travelling to Queensland Australia, arriving on 9 Sept 1865. They travelled as Thomas and Susannah Kennington, with children Alfred and Elizabeth, leaving Liverpool on the Melmerby. They married in 1874 in Queensland and later moved to Wagga Wagga New South Wales. They lived in a Brick Cottage at 5/32 Kincaid Street, Wagga (cnr of Kincaid
