Hello from Melbourne Australia,The family has tried for years to find this site.John Fairbairn the Bookseller was the son of James Fairbairn the Schoolteacher from Penicuik who died in 1744/5. He was also the Estate Factor for Baron Clerk of Penicuik Estate. James Fairbairn was my Great XXX Grandfather and John was a son to his second wife. I have not found the death of James Fairbairn in Edinburgh or Penicuik.I can send some brief details if you need them.My file states there are some children in that grave as well.Thank you in advance.As a long term researcher for my family your work is highly valued.
