Margaret Thwaite was my great grandmother. She was married to John Emmerson of Skelton and their youngest child was my grandmother Rose Ellen Emmerson. John died as a result of an accident and Margaret remarried Jabez Barker - yet having been married twice she keeps her maiden name on her gravestone. I hope other family members might get in touch to explain this.
