She died 6 Feb 1879 Amesbury area aged 29. In her memory he donated a bell to St Mary and St Melor Abbey Church with the inscription In holy memory of Annie W Phelps died to live Feb 6 1879/ The love thou gavest I give to thee with thee I joy , Lord weep with me
