Emigrated to Canada 1912 with brother Vivian Charles. both joined Canadian Mounted Rifles in Toronto, sent to France 1915. Killed in action March 23, 1916, mount sorrel, near Ypres. Buried Maple Copse Military Cemetery. Brother Vivian Charles taken prisoner, survived the war, and became a moderately successful artist.
