The follow note is stored against Mary Adams record:

Mary Adams was née Mary Miflin, and was born in 1828 at Lydiard Millicent, Wiltshire, daughter of Thomas and Mary Miflin (formerly Mary Herring). Her first child, William Brind Miflin, father's name unknown, was born in 1851. Then eight years later (23 Nov 1859 - at Wanborough) she married a 17-year-old miller from Wanborough, John Adams, and bore his first child just over three months later. Edwin John was followed by Albert Edward (1864) and William James (1867). John Adams was publican at the Cold Harbour Inn and it was there that Mary died in 1874 aged just 46. John married a second time into the Crew family of Dyrham and Hinton, Gloucs, went into the dairy business, and died a rich man. It is probable but not certain that he was responsible for erecting this grave-stone.
