of Morley House and Mount Lebonus Jamaica Alan Furness 'The Jamaican coffee Boom and John Mackeson, A Blue Mountain coffee planter 1807-19', Jamaican Historical Review Vol. III No. 3 March 1962 identifies Wm Wyllys as owner of Mt Lebanus in 1807, when Wyllys and his brother-in-law John Mackeson travelled together to Jamaica. Birth year of 1801 is inferred from age on gravestone, and it could well be age 79, so born in 1781, as the Legacies of British Slave-Ownership database claims (see database at www.ucl.ac.uk). He had a much younger wife.
