Helen Longstaff was born in Scotland, the daughter of John and Jane Currie. She married William Longstaff at the English Church in Le Havre on 19 April 1888. They had three sons who are all remembered on this grave - George, Francis and John. Their daughter Mary 1896-1967 married Arthur Comyns, and is buried in Forest Row, Sussex, England, next to William's sister Jessie Langstaff.
