Mary Ann Macroff (nee Ward) was born in 1867, in Larling, Norfolk. She was the youngest of 6 children. Her parents were Randle and Sarah Ward. Mary Ann gave birth to my grandfather, Herbert Augustus Ward, in 1889. Mary Ann married John Macroff, Herbert's stepfather, in 1891.
