Gottfried Schulze was a German POW, who came from Dresden; he studied English at the University of Leipzig. His parents and sister survived the bombing of Dresden, but he decided to make his home in England, having met someone he wanted to marry. However, he apparently sadly died of pneumonia, while working on a farm. This information came from his erstwhile fiancee.
