William was the son of John Thompson and Lucy Francis Drury, he was born in Exbury, Hampshire. He married Jane Macey at St. Katherines church, Exbury on the 13th April 1865, he moved to Bideford in about 1880 where he was a gamekeeper. William is my second great grandfather.
