John Turner was baptised at St Mary, Woodbridge on 27 August 1797, son of John Turner and Mary Sallows. He married Emma Smith at Benham, Suffolk, on 9 January 1822. He was a butcher in the Thoroughfare, Woodbridge for many years. He died in Doric Place, Woodbridge on 21 July 1876.
