Reportly drowned 1st July 1942 with the sinking of the Montevideo Maru (NAA A518 GR16/2/1 P9) but there is now doubt regarding this information given by the Japanese. Was approached by Commander Eric Feldt R.A.N. Sept 1939 to become a Coast Watcher. Reported missing in Pacific Islands Monthly Nov 1942 (NAA A518 , DS16/2/1 Part 1 P.211).
