Charles Badenoch Buyers was born in Singapore 1 Jan 1858. He was the Son of John Craig Buyers and Jane Bowie. John C. Buyers, a shipbuilder, went out to Singapore in 1843 until 1867. He built the first dry-dock and several ships there. Charles Badenoch Buyers served in the military in India 1889-1902. He returned to Scotland in 1920
