In Loving Memory Of. 9th Baronet who was Born At Calke Abbey. Married Nov 20th 1845. Leaves Two Sons And A Daughter. After Long Illness Borne With Singular Patience Submission And Fortitude. Deservedly Honoured And Esteemed In The Neighbourhood And By His Tenantry , And Deeply Regretted By His Family And Friends. Sir John was A Steady Friend , Kind And Considerate As A Landlord , And Generous And Sympathizing Towards The Poor. He Was Averse To A Public Life And Spent The Greater Part Of His Days At Calke Amongst His Own People In The Exercise Of Unostentatious Charity , And Doing Good To All Around Him. God So Loved The World That He Gave His Only Begotten Son , That Whosoever Believeth In Him Should Not Perish , But Have Everlasting Life.
