Erected by the Brethren of the Derwent Lodge Freemasons. At the time of his death William was living at The Croft, Hastings. He was a Carpenter and builder by trade. He first married Mary Phillips 6 July 1783 All Saints, Hastings and had 2 children, John and Mary. He married Ann Kennard 15 April 1792 St.Clements, Hastings. They had 9 known children.
