Captain Hugh Mansel of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment was the son of Lieut. William Mansel and his wife Caroline née John. He was baptised on the 13th of May 1858 at Budock, Falmouth, Cornwall, England. He died unmarried dsp by his own hand in August 1889 at Fermoy, Co. Cork, Ireland and was remembered by his brother officers in in St Mary Collegiate church Warwick, Warwickshire, England.
