Apart from the latin inscriptions on this grave, the actual names and dates should read: Gervase Rooke died 1693 Olive Rooke wife of John Rooke died 1721 Note: Gervase was actually born in Barnsley in 1613. Olive was his daughter-in-law, the wife of his eldest son John. She was the daughter of Thomas Wainwright of Darfield and born there in 1652. John Rooke is buried in another grave with his son John Jr.
