Baptised 13 feb 1838 at Upper Poppleton, 4th son of William Mountain 1792-1864 and Elizabeth nee Kirk 1797-1863. Ephraim married Sarah Rennison on the 19th december 1865 at St Margaret's, York. However after Ephraim's death Sarah remarried to George Coates in 1876, which is why she's not buried with Ephraim. Ephraim and Sarah had 3 children. He was an agricultural labourer.
