John was born at Tinhead near Westbury, Wiltshire with birth registered between 01 July and 30 Sep 1843. He wed Prudence Barron late 1875 though she was mi transcribed as Prudance Barran and they had at least 8 children as well as Prudence having pre wedding a William Petch Barron. They had 8 children, the youngest (Dorothy) married William ELLIOTT in Glanford Brigg, North Lincolnshire, between October and December 1913. She was born in North Killingholme on 14th February 1896 and died on 6th April 1987 in Habrough.
