Son of Robert and Mary Curtis - also called Robert - emigrated to Australia with wife Ann and daughter Ellen in 1847. Ellen married William Lidgerwood in 1870. Ellen died after the birth of her 6th child in 1881 aged only 37, but her descendants have prospered in Australia.
