Born 21 Mar 1835 in St Agnes, Cornwall, son of Henry & Suzannah Walters. Married Sarah Jane Bennett 26 Dec 1861 in St Agnes Parish Church. A miner at the time of his marriage, he later became a yeoman farmer in St Agnes. They had 6 children (one died in infancy). In retirement they lived with their daughter Edith Bickell and her husband Alpha Bickell at 53 Rother St Stratford-on-Avon, where Sarah Jane died on 18 May 1913.
