John Nixon b1846 Delvin Co Westmeath Ireland. Royal Artillery May 1868-November 1875. Married Emma Blandford at Yarmouth IOW early 1875. Subsequently became Relieving Officer Epsom Guardian Board (listed in UK Census). Had family of 7 children born between 1876 and 1896. One died very young in 1892(Alexander). First child was Charles John Blandford Nixon b 1876. He appears to have travelled to the USA and may have been drafted by the US Army in 1917.
