Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

This was my Uncle Freddie who was killed during the war. He was my father's youngest brother. My father, who died in 1987 told me that he was killed in Scotland whilst placing out the lights on the runway for the returning English pilots but a German plane came in and he was either bombed or fired on from the plane whilst doing this and killed. I have spoken to my mother, Mrs C J Suggars, who has confirmed that Freddie was killed in Scotland in 1941 and she too would be very interested to see an image of his grave and to have the image as a keepsake as none of the remaining family knew where he was buried. I didn't meet Freddie but my dad and his brothers often spoke of him during my childhood. My own father served in Ceylon during the war and Freddie was the only brother out of the four of them that went to war that did not return home. Your help with this matter would be much appreciated and I look forward to your response. Kind regards. Janet Suggars Niece to Freddie Suggars
