W H BROAD, the listed person was truly William Hugh BROAD, born in Winchester in 1893, son of William & Eliza BROAD. William (a RN Stoker) was one of 737 who lost their lives on 5 June 1916 when HMS Hampshire hit a mine in the Orkneys, whilst enroute to Russia. The trip to Russia was to convey there Lord Kitchener, who was also 1 of the 737 who died.

I believe that I may have made this request before, in which case I apologise. I am constructing a BROAD family website, but see no possibilty of my making a trip to the Orkneys (from London) to get photos of any memorial that includes the name of my distant relative - who died nearly 50 yrs before I was born. Thank You
