I am researching family history. John Elder Ballantyne Cowper was the brother of my Great Grandfather Macknight Crawfurd Cowper. They were market gardeners in Gogar. His wife Margeurita was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am interested in finding out anything I can about them. I'm very grateful for the chance to use your website as I no longer live in Edinburgh. John, Elder Ballantyne Cowper was the brother of my Great Grandfather Macknight Crawfurd Cowper. They were business partners jointly running a Potato Merchants at Haymarket station.
