Please note that all ages and dates of birth in red have been calculated and are probably not on the monument.

The calculated dates of birth should be treated with caution as in many cases it can be one year out.

The calculated dates of birth should also be treated with caution as the ages given on monuments are often inaccurate.

The names above are all the names that are listed on the grave monument. It is most likely that only the entries with dates and ages are interred in the grave.

Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Joseph Rampini ((1805-1863) and Eliza Fulton (I have no birth date but have her death as in 1886) are the parents of Charles Joseph Galliari Rampini (1840-1907), Sheriff of Dumfries and Galloway, and author of books on Jamaica, Moray and Nairn, Shetland. Annie Burness (1846-1929) is the wife of Charles (they married in Jamaica in 1867) and mother of six children. The brother of Charles was Robert Fulton Rampini (1844-?) a judge of the High Court in Bengal. He changed his name in 1908 to Robert Fulton Fulton, and is presumably buried elsewhere. My reason for wanting the image is for research on Italians in 19th century Edinburgh. Joseph Rampini came to Edinburgh from Piedmont as Giuseppe Rampini, and made a career for himself teaching Italian.
