Family tree research for a colleague - I am not sure that there is a family connection but the spelling with one T and Dumfries as a common area suggest there is a connection at some point, though possibly hard to prove! Not unusual with these exercises. I really appreciate the help your site has given me in recent weeks with trying to slot the puzzle pieces together and as previously stated will consider assisting where I can, when I can.
