My close friend is trying to trace her ancestors and cannot find the death of Ridley Fowell, husband of Florence Nightingale Fowell. I am hoping that Ridley is in the same grave of Florence because he is one of the names persons with the same Ref number. I would appreciate any help possible. Many thanks

Ridley Fowell is the son of Reverend Drake Fowell, first vicar of St. James church, New Brighton, Wallasey. Ridley had a son Sinclair who had a son Harold Sinclair Fowell,my father (born 10/07/1917, died 15/09/1988). After death of wife Florence Nightingale Fowell, Ridley married again and I believe had a son, also named Ridley. Still searching family history. Thanks so much for the photo. Barbara Kinnear.

Florence Nightingale Fowell was the first wife of Ridley Fowell who was the great grandfather of my wife Barbara (nee) Fowell. Ridley's father, Richard Drake Fowell was the first vicar of St James' the Parish church of New Brighton. Very appreciative of your input, we've had great difficulty in tracing Ridley from his origins in Cheshire (now part of Merseyside). Now we found him in Yorkshire which lead us to his next appearance in Aberdeen. Best wishes, David Kinnear.
