Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am researching my family history and believe this may be the monument of my ancestors brother John. I have been unable to find any of his family except their names until now. His name was William b. 1803 immigrated to New Zealand 1840 and unfortunately was killed shortly after arriving by a horse kick. I am a fifth generation descendant. His wife Mary and 3 children remained and became pioneers here. I would love to share information. I restore family monuments here.
