I am descended from carlile's sister christiana. I am interested in finding out what happened to the sons named on the stone, my great grans first cousins, the dates seem to suggest they died in ww1 but I can't find records of them. I may take some gravestone pictures and can send them.

Carlisle William Bell is my grandfather who farmed at Redmarshall, the place of my baptism where my father was churchwarden and sexton. For the record, everyone called him Bill. You will find in that churchyard the graves of his sons John Harold and Carlisle Walter. There has always been a dispute in the family and in records of the correct spelling of Carlisle.
