Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I did a rubbing of the image on the top of this headstone on a trip over 30 years ago. I faded the rubbing out where the name was & didn't give it any thought at all at the time since it was the image of the fish that caught my eye. 20 years later I'm sitting at home looking at it & realized that the grave was that of the author of a book I had read about life on the Blasket Islands during my trip. Amazing... I also did another rubbing of a nearby headstone that had a striking engraved image of a curragh with 4 fisherman rowing. I didn't get the name on that one but in my memory it was very close to Tomas' grave, if you have an image of that as well it would be greatly appreciated. It is quite a lovely engraving.
