I have a copy of a handwritten letter written in 1812, by this particular Ninian Lowis, sent to a relative of mine.

Ninian Lowis is my ancestor. He was born 22 nov 1757, and died 27 mars 1825 in Edinburgh. His wife Isabella Monro died 31 aug 1814 in Edinburgh. Their daughter Anne Lowis married a german, rev. Johann Georg Gottfried Wermelskirch (born 22 feb 1803 in Bremen, died 20 dec 1872 in Erfurt). Anne Lowis was born 21 oct 1797 (mayby in Edinburgh), and died 23 oct 1882 in Liegnitz, Silesia, Preussia. I do actually have a copy of a photo of her. Sincerely Fredrik Bensch Sweden
