Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I suspect that William Bate is my great-great-great grandfather. If so, this image may provide evidence linking my heritage back to England. My father's name was Edwin O'Dell Bate, his father was Grover Cleveland Bate, I believe his father was Rev. James Lafayette Bate, his father John Bate, Sr., whose father was William Bate of England. Regardless of whether this evidence provides me with an accurate lineage, I will most assuredly provide you with acknowledgement and gratitude.
