Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Doing family research with Ancestry - she was the second wife of my gr gr grandfather Col Lewis Charles Conran. We are not sure why she left Melbourne to go and live in Sri Lanka during WWI.

She was my step-great great grandmother who moved to Sri Lanka abt 1917 from Australia - both her sons were fighting in the WWII, the younger had been killed at the Somme in 1916. Can't see if her daughter who died in Southampton was actually buried her or just name on the memorial.
