Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Our group Mornington Peninsula Family History Group is compiling a book about street names for Mornington, Vic, Australia. Alexander John Stratton was the first squatter in the area and has a Lane named after him. He went back to England to see his elderly father but died before him in 1861 apparently at Romsey. We have been trying to find his burial place for some time now and with your shared information think this is it. We will be thrilled to receive a larger photo and thank you kindly. Barbara Geeves

I am Secretary of Yarram & District Historical Society, Victoria Australia. Alexander Stratton was a Past President of the now subsumed Shire of Alberton. I have been researching him but till now was unable to find where he had been buried. I got his death cert and I contacted people where he had died but had no luck.He contributed to this community was a pioneer & I am researching him as is another lady from the Mornington Historical Society. He started here as a squatter but ended up with many roles. We would be grateful for an image.
