Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Henry and Mary Pettit are my third great grandparents, and I visited this grave more than 30 years ago, but did not take a photograph. I can add to the information you have with precise birth dates for Mary, Alfred George and Sarah, and newspaper cuttings of Sarah's 100th birthday in 1936. I have photos of the elder Henry, Mary and Sarah that I have shared with other researchers. Thank you for this worthwhile project, I am really grateful. David

I am the great great great grandson of Henry & Mary Pettit - and Sarah and Henry are the siblings of my gg grandfather Terry Pettit who emigrated to America c.1867 from Glasgow - and whose son, John Alfred Pettit (and his two brothers Henry and George) emigrated, in turn, from San Francisco (where Terry moved on to from Brooklyn, New York) to Australia.
