Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Alice Gislason nee Brunsden nee Skinner nee Price, is my half Great Great Aunt and belongs to a part of my family that left the West Midlands in about 1877/78 but with whom regular contact was maintained (Alice & Olaf used to come & stay with my Grandparents in Dudley), until Aunt Alice and Uncle Olaf died during the 2nd world War! They are included in my family tree and I have re-established contact with some of Aunt Alice's descendants in the US! Alice's parents (Joseph Price & Sarah Price nee Southall) are buried in Cleethorpes Municipal Cemetery and I can provide full birth and death dates for all, should you would wish to include them. Yours Faithfully, Chris Morris, Netherton, Dudley, West Midlands.

Alice is my great great grandmother and is on the gravestone with her third husband. Her first (my great great grandfather) died at Grimsby docks aged only 28, and her second husband was lost at sea (Joseph Brunsden). Thanks again for your help in my research.

Alice Gislason is my great great grandmother on my maternal grandmother's side of my family. She was born as Alice Price and married my great great grandfather Richard Henry Skinner before he died by drowning at Union Dock Grimsby where he worked as a dockside labourer in 1883. Alice remarried to Joseph George Brunsden in 1886, but he was lost at sea in 1893. Alice married Olafur Gislason in 1903.
