Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

My great grandmother was Eleanor Haxby, and she married Reuben Backhouse. Both from the Hunsingore area. They named one of their sons Leonard but called him Loftus. I would guess that this Loftus Haxby is a relation of Eleanors, possibly her father. She was a servant girl, and married a blacksmith.Just speculating really! My grandfather was a cricketer callled Edgar Norman Backhouse. He sadly died when my father was 8, however my father David had fond memories of his Uncle Loftus. Many thanks, Clare Backhouse

LOftus Haxby is my great great grandfather. My hope isto come to Yorkshire and see the grave but until then I would appreciate seeing this gravestone and will of course aknowledge your service. Many thanks James
