My mother in law Brenda Leigh nee Cockburn died two dies ago aged 94, an only child. I am trying to get some background for the family for the funeral. Her father was Ronald Jamieson Cockburn whose father was Jamieson Cockburn whose mother was Ann Cromar Cockburn nee Jamison. For your records we beleive that Ann Cromar Jamison was born approx 1818, married George Cockburn in 1836 and died in 1891 where she still lived at Hope Villa, South Street, Alnwick. Thanks Tracy

My grandmother was Mary Helen Cromar, born Stonehaven, Scotland 1894; died Glasgow, Scotland 1987. There are Cromar relatives born in Alnwick between 1870 and 1879 and I'm researching further links. Many thanks
