Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

The Gibson family are related to me. Thomas Gibson, a draper in Oxford Street London, married Jane Aitcheson in 1782. They had several children baptised at St Anne Soho Westminster including Edward and Jane. Edward lived in Storrington Sussex in 1846 (noted in Jane's will) and in 1861 in Friar's Cottage Lewes. He was described as a gentleman and a fund holder. His executors were Edwin Ade, draper of Oxford Street London, possibly a relative and James Ade, a grocer of Wilmington Sussex.
