Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am researching the occupants of Linton House (formerly Zeelugt) in Thirlestaine Road, Cheltenham. A Lt-Gen David Barr of the Bombay Infantry lived there in 1858-59. I'm not sure if 'my' Gen Barr is the same as the one buried at Shurdington, as the 1862 death announcements in the Gloucester Journal and Edinburgh Gazette give the age as 79, and in 1864 named his relict as Mary McCammon. A strange coincidence, which I hope your photo will help to clarify. In any event, I shall go and look for the grave at Shurdington too. Thanks for providing this service.
