Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Robert Noden flew with 12 Squadron RAF where he was the pilot on a Lancaster with my second cousin William Woodland (bomb aimer). William later died on a raid to Essen on 1st May 1943 with another pilot. I have been researching this on behalf of my mother, you can find my research on the web. I am currently in contact with one of his grandsons in America and would like to follow his history further.
