Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Joseph Henshall and his wife, Mary Ann McCommie are in my family tree. He was a soldier, serving in far-away Canada where he met his future wife, another soldier's daughter. Mary Ann was born in Canada East (Quebec) while her father was serving there. Although he was born in London, Joseph and Mary Ann moved to Barnton, Cheshire when they returned to England with their family. He was a Lock Tender on the River Weaver and a Chelsea Pensioner.
