Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

As part of a wider family tree project I am tracing Linton relatives (Linton married into the Lindsey family, twice in late 19th century - two Lindsey sisters married two Linton cousins). The Lintons I know of come from Northallerton and often have Ainsley as a middle name, so this one looks a good match. Would like to see if headstone lists 'son of ... husband of ...' etc. Many thanks!

I believe William Ainsley Linton to be my great, great uncle, William Charles Linton and Mary Linton were my great grandfather and great grandmother.. William lived at Garden. Cottage Egglescliffe but on a recent visit to Egglescliffe I was unsuccessful in locating it.
