They had 2 children; including Claire who married a fellow journalist Guy de Charnacé . In 1835 Marie left the comte for Franz Liszt and lived with him until her death. They had three children; of which the eldest married the politician Emile Ollivier who was briefly head of the French Government in 1869; and Cosima who married firstly the pianist and composer Hans von Bülow; and secondly the composer Richard Wagner. Marie published under the pen name Daniel Stern; and was a friend of Georges Sand. |
