William Medland, born in North Toronto and Ada Camplin, Beeton(?), Ontario are my Great Great Grandparents, married in Whitby October 6th, 1894. Their son Thomas M. Medland was born in 1897 in Brooklin ON, living in North Toronto as of 1916 when he left to fight in WWI, also serving as a Major in WWII, passing in 1949. His wife, Lillian Stinson, b. 1898, Haliburton, ON, died in 1939. Their son, Thomas S. Medland, born May 6th 1926, passed February of this year, 2016. His wife was Mary Stuart, my grandmother. My father is John D. Medland, 1962, my mother Susan L. White, 1964. My name is Andrew J. Medland, 1995. A seed store in Brooklin ON still bears William Medland's name. Of additional interest - Thomas S. Medland's mother-in-law was named Irene Whitevale. I don't know if she was born in Whitevale, but it's safe to assume that there is some connection there.
